Hola from Mexico everyone,
Thought it might be a good time to send an email around seeing as im coherent enough to do so today. The trip has been going really well, got into Austin in texas last wednesday and stayed with deno till sunday, it was good to see him again and party hard like old times. Austin is a awesome place for people our age its just full of uni students who go out and party hard every night. The only downer was that clubs were only open till 2 am and everyone doesnt go out till like 11, so it goes without saying that most of them found it hard to keep up with us crazy aussies.
We left austin on sunday and got a bus down to monterrey, took like 9 hours and then when we finally got here we were in the dodgiest area and had no where to go. We ended up wandering the streets for half an hour before we realised we should find a hotel before we got shot or mugged. Checked into a dodgy hotel which had the mattresses on a concrete slab, no locks or keys for the doors and porn on the TV, we weren{t too sure if this place was really a hotel. In the end we got in contact with a friend and she picked us up and took us to a much nicer hotel which was far less dodgy. Since then everything has been pretty good, on tuesday we climbed one of the mountains outside of monterrey, this thing was massive and the track was like a 45 degree climb the whole way, i have to say that it was one of the toughest things ive ever done, which is why all of us felt humiliated when we turned around at the top to find 6 mexicans driving up the track in the biggest 4 wheel drive i have ever seen. It was an awesome sight at the top anyway and well worth the climb. Later that night we got to experience something pretty cool, MEXICAN WRESTLING, it was hilarious, the two girls showing us around hadnt been either so we thought it would be fun, this stuff is way better than wwe wrestling for sure. Two of the wrestlers, one named banch tequila, came right over to us and were going crazy throwing each other into chairs and stuff. After it was finished we ended up getting in the ring and had a go ourselves, absolutely crazy. Anyway i should probably head off as we are going to the flea markets but i hope everyone is well, let me know whats going on back home,
